What can I say about Costa's?
First of all, there is NO comparison -- these are the best cheesesteaks and Italian hoagies you will find in the Philadelphia area and suburbs. Anyone who disagrees has absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
Everything is fresh, homemade, and delicious! Try the tapioca rice pudding - it's amazing!
David Costa always has a welcoming smile and suggestion if you aren't sure what to order, offering something you may not have tried yet. He is the grandson of the original owner, Rocco Costa who emigrated from Italy.
There is a lot of family love in this little corner deli and a lot of Ambler spirit. The family knows 90% of their customers or more - every time I am there and a customer walks in, it's "Hi, How you doing? Nice to see you again." With this kind of spirit and dedication to customer service, Costa's deli is sure to be around for another 60 years.
